Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at 8:00pm, Ax joins Andris Nelsons and the BSO to perform one of his favorite Mozart Piano Concertos: No. 22. Also on the program is Berlioz’s "Symphonie fantastique," an obsessive ode to unrequited love. -
Saturday, September 26th, 2026 at 8:00pm, the BSO performs Elena Firsova’s and Sofia Gubaidulina’s Prologue, a BSO co-commission, and Mahler’s Symphony No. 7—the only Mahler symphony Andris Nelsons has yet to conduct with the BSO. -
Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 at 8:00pm, Cho returns to Symphony Hall for Rachmaninoff’s "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini," and the Boston Symphony Orchestra closes the program with Rachmaninoff’s melodically rich Symphony No. 2, all led by Andris Nelsons. -
Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at 8:00pm, Kirill Gerstein is the soloist in a new piano concerto by Spanish composer Francisco Coll, and Andris Nelsons leads the BSO in Beethoven’s “Coriolan” Overture and Symphony No. 7. -
Saturday, October 17th, 2026 at 8:00pm, Hilary Hahn and cellist Seth Parker Woods are the soloists in BSO Composer Chair Carlos Simon’s Double Concerto Suite, part of a program that includes selections from Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” and “The Nutcracker.” -
Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at 8:00pm, Kent Nagano leads the Boston Symphony Orchestra in Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides Overture, Mendelssohn's "Reformation" Symphony, and two premieres. -
Saturday, October 31st, 2026 at 8:00pm, recorded at the beginning of the 2026-2027 BSO season, Ma joins Nelsons and the BSO in Edward Elgar’s monumental Cello Concerto, on a program including Brahms’s final symphony and Arturs Maskats's "Tango." -
Saturday, November 7th, 2026 at 8:00pm, in the first of a two-part series exploring themes of creation, Philippe Jordan leads the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus in Haydn’s oratorio "The Creation," with soprano Louise Alder, tenor Bogdan Volkov, and bass-baritone David Steffens. -
Saturday, November 14th, 2026 at 8:00pm, in the second of a two-part two exploration, Eric Jacobsen conducts "Creation," a BSO-commissioned work by Osvaldo Golijov and David Henry Hwang, featuring Cécile McLorin Salvant, Davóne Tines, Kayhan Kalhor, and Cyro Baptista. -
Samy Rachid leads the Boston Symphoyn Orchestra in a concert of German Romantic masterworks: the Overture from Carl Maria von Weber’s opera Oberon, Robert Schumann’s “Spring” Symphony, and Felix Mendelssohn’s dazzling Piano Concerto No. 1 featuring Jan Lisiecki. -
Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet is the soloist in George Gershwin’s blues-inflected Piano Concerto in F, and conductor Kazuki Yamada makes his Symphony Hall debut with two of Ottorino Respighi’s colorful homages to Rome.

Anna Handler leads the Boston Symphony Orchestra in a program that includes Christopher Rountree’s "For Martha (Variations on a Theme of Leonard Bernstein)," Aaron Copland’s "Appalachian Spring," and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. -
In the final part of a three-concert series curated by Yo-Yo Ma, Grammy-winning vocalist Arooj Aftab joins Ma in John Tavener’s Mahámátar, followed by Kayhan Kalhor’s Venus in the Mirror with the composer and cellist Karen Ouzounian, and Osvaldo Golijov’s Azul with BSO cellist Christine Lee.
